AHSID Trauma-Informed Staff Pre-Survey 2026
AHSID Trauma-Informed Staff/Vendor Pre-Survey 2026
These questions are to measure your current understanding of HS & trauma and your comfort level in navigating it.
Thank you for your commitment to making the AHSID I RECLAIM 2026 HS Summit a success. Because the summit centers on individuals living with Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS), many of whom have experienced medical trauma, stigma, and isolation, we are operating under a trauma-informed framework.

This brief survey helps us gauge our team's baseline knowledge and ensure you have the support and resources you need to perform your role safely and effectively.
Do you understand the difference between 'listening to support' and 'listening to advise' (e.g., knowing not to offer medical or lifestyle advice to attendees)?

You are in a breakout session and the speaker is sharing a detailed story about a difficult surgery. You notice an attendee in the back row looking down, breathing heavily, and gripping their chair. What would be your 'first move'?
During a coffee break, an attendee shows you a flare-up on their arm and asks, 'Does this look like it's getting infected to you? What should I put on it?' How do you handle this?
Thank You!
Thank you for participating in this brief survey. You can head back to the trauma-informed training session with Amber.
